Day 4

After a week of avoidance, today I woke up at 5:45 am determined to practice dance and really sweat it out. Sadly, it didn’t turn out that way. I decided to practice my varnam (the long, hard piece) because I will be performing it at the end of July at a festival, however, I was just too tired to practice. I did some of it, but mostly I “faked” it and listened to the music.

I am kinda warm and sweaty, but I think that has more to do with the weather than the actual dancing (this past week we have been blessed with oodles of sunshine and warmth). I’ll definitely try this again, but after a cup of some much needed coffee.

Ciao for now!

11:34 pm

Okay so today didn’t go exactly as planned. I didn’t get any studying done and I certainly did not have a chance to┬ádo any cardio┬ábefore my shift started. Luckily, one of my friends was at the gym and she wanted to learn a couple exercises. I spent an hour with her doing deadbugs, planks, squats, and many MANY lunges. Needless to say, by the end of that session, I was warm, my heart rate was slightly higher, and I was giddy with excitement [from all those endorphins] :). But seriously now, I really have to commit to exercising. Consistency is key!

I weighed myself today after about a month, and I’ve lost about 5 lbs since I last checked in. That sounds all fine and dandy, but last time I had weighed myself, I was 7 lbs heavier than my original weight. So in actuality, I have gained 2lbs….but lets pretend that didn’t happen. Okay, I can’t do that, that would be immature. Now, instead of losing the 15 lbs that I originally wanted to, I have to lose 17lbs. 2 lbs isn’t thaaaat much…only 7000 calories…yikes!

Well, we’ll see how I do tomorrow!
