Second Wind

I’m excited about Bharata Natyam again.

After dreading dance practice for the past couple days, suddenly all I want to do is watch Bharata Natyam, read about Bharata Natyam, and most importantly, dance Bharata Natyam.

What brought along such a change? Well, I just took my practice out of context (my rec room/dance studio) and took it to the gym. Did you know that BOSU balls are excellent for practicing mandi adavus (full squats) and poses? I swear, my thighs are still sore! By combining my traditional dance class with my traditional work out at the gym, I’ve suddenly created a new and useful exercise program for myself. It still needs a bit of tweeking, but once I’ve finalized my exercise/dance program, I’ll post it up on here.

I think I’ll end off here though…I know it was a boring post….but I’m sleepy haha.
